Window light is a wonderful thing especially if it's not directly coming in the window. Soft indirect light is much nicer, in our opinion.
We try to turn our brides body away for the direction of the light so the light crosses the body then have her turn her face towards the light. We are looking for a type of light pattern on her face. Depending on the background we can often get something dramatic like this. A warm colored background highlighted by a table lamp behind and off camera. The curtain behind and to her right gives us something in the background. One of our favorites from the past wedding season.
