HI, I thought I’d touch on something that I feel has become prevalent in the photography world.  That is, the perceived value of professional photography services in today’s economy.      

 We, at South Street, take great pride in our quality and service.  My team and I have spent years educating ourselves in the art of photography.  We take great pride in our work, work ethic and experience.  We’ll put ourselves up against anyone in the industry and expect us to come out on top.  We WILL deliver.  We’ll meet your expectations and then some.

With the big box stores offering prints for next to nothing and those same stores offering portraits and weddings, along with dj, limo companies, dress and tuxedo shops, all offering photography, it’s getting harder and harder for an engaged couple to know where to find a qualified professional wedding photographer. 

My opinion: Any company that doesn’t specialize in photography is doing you a disservice.  You’re putting your trust in someone who doesn’t specialize in wedding photography.  Photography is NOT their area or expertise.  They specialize in something else, anything else.  Do you go to your dentist for your taxes?  No, why would you?  You go to your accountant.  Why would go to anyone that isn’t skilled in the art of photography.  We wouldn’t try to sell you limo services, dj or formalwear.  We know nothing about those services.

For over 20 years, we have been and always will be specialist in wedding photography.  We would never subcontract your photographer or the design of your album. All or work is done by us, in studio.

I understand you want to spend your money wisely, however, the one thing you have left after your wedding day are your wedding images.  Don’t leave your wedding images to just anyone.  Find a PROFESSIONAL photographer you can trust, someone that is experienced in weddings, knows the nuances of wedding photography and will deliver as you expect.  You want exceptional, you deserve exceptional.
