Wow! Where do I start.  First, if you ever feel the need to volunteer for something, the Special Olympics should be something you consider.  The Opening Ceremonies were held at the Prudential Center in Newark.

I was one of several photographers.  Each was assigned an area to cover.  I was on the floor as the athletes marched in.  Right on the edge of the stage for all the performers and presentations.

One of the best moments for me was when the Olympic flag was marched in held by a number of athletes.  Once the flag was hung, the athletes began "high five" and hugging each other.  Very emotional moment.

Another emotional moment was when New Jersey marched in.  As the host state.  New Jersey enters last.  When New jersey was announce and began to enter the arena, the crowd went crazy.  Almost had me in tears.
