There is an old saying:  "If you have to ask how much, you probably can't afford it."  Well...that may be true.  So may: "You get what you pay for." So also may: "The cost of something free or cheap may far exceed the cost of something a little more expensive which has better quality and value."

The first question I often hear is "How much?" or "I'm price shopping."   Unfortunately, if price is the first thing on your mind when booking your wedding, you may not wind up with the wedding you expected or wanted.

Last year I had two of my brides tell me, they sent friend to me that didn't book due to price.  Well... both of my brides told me about their friends wedding photographers.  Both of these friend's that decided price was more important, hated their photographer and the photos from their wedding.   One of them disliked her photo so much, she doesn't even want her album.

I felt bad for both of these brides, however, there is nothing I can do.  Had they opted to spend a little more, they wouldn't be in the situation they find themselves in now.  

Think about this:  

The reception location you fell in love with.

The dress you couldn't live with out.

The photo booth that you thought would make your reception perfect.

The huge light show from the dj that you had to have.

Flowers, center pieces, dessert table, favors.... 

Did you skimp on these must have items???

 Probably not.  You had to have these things to make your wedding special.  I understand that completely.  So... why would you not spend a little more to remember your special day in away that you'll absolutely love.  Why not splurge on the one thing that will allow you to remember your special day with all the emotion and love.  You want your photos to reflect that emotion and love, not be just a record of who was there and what happened.

Consider this when planning your wedding:   Money well spent is value and piece of mind.
