Unbelievable this is happening, more rookie mistakes.

I follow several photography related Facebook pages and forums.  Lately, one thing that I've seen is the number photographers that have had memory cards fail.  Become unreadable after a photography session.  Meaning no images from the session or wedding.  All the images are lost.  Could you imagine........

There are expensive ways to retrieve images from a failed card.  What gets me about the several I've read about  is; all are using generic memory cards.  Off the self cheap no name memory cards.  Why? Because they are cheap, that's why.

As a professional photographer with 20 years experience I do things above and beyond most others, to be sure I can guarantee the safety and security of your photographs.  Here a few of the things we at South Street do to ensure that guarantee.

*We use professional level high speed memory cards.  Many photographers buy inexpensive cards. Cheap cards.  Not pro level quality.

*We replace our card every year no matter the age or use.  You never know.  Better safe than sorry.

*Your card should only be formatted in your camera never on your PC.  A common error.  There are two different format types.  This causes a problem in the write process of the camera to the memory card.

* We copy your image from the card to PC using a card reader never with the camera connected to the PC.  Again an issue I feel, which creates one more thing that can go wrong in the transfer process.

*We back up to several medias, on and off site.  To me there is no such thing as too many backups.  I hope this helps.

There are reasons you want and need the experience we offer.
