YES!!!!!, This was posted in an online photography forum recently. One day, this photographer will find herself in a position where she could lose EVERYTHING.
How can anyone go without insurance? That's just beyond my comprehension.
THIS is why you had better be sure your chosen photographer is insured. If they're not, seriously consider your decision.
If your photographer is not insured, DO NOT believe things like:
"We don't need it." YES YOU DO!
"I've never needed it in the past." JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU DO!
"My contract protects me." NO IT DOESN'T! NOT AT ALL!!!!!
NONE of this is valid.
I'm just looking out for you, my clients. Imagine if you or someone at your reception is injured by, let's say, tripping over a light stand, and I wasn't insured?
Rest assured we are insured. What professional photographer wouldn't be.
