A little more on customer service

00140014 I'm going to expand on the customer service aspect of  South Street a bit. I feel it's that important.

I read a lot, on several blogs and Facebook pages, about photographers that have difficult client experiences.   I find this troubling in general because I read about so many situations that, in my opinion, could have been avoided with a little planning and a little TLC.

If we strive to do our best.  Think ahead, return that call or email immediately, answer a question promptly, explain in detail, how things work, what we can do for our wedding couples and portrait families and what they can do to help make the experience smooth and enjoyable, these client issues can and will be avoided.

Yes, things can go wrong.  Equipment failure, computer problems and such.  Explain what your problem is, apologize and fix the problem.  maybe you need to reschedule a session or consultation, take more time to deliver photos, whatever the situation, let you clients know.  Better they understand and know you're trying your best to do right by them rather than getting upset that you're not getting back to them or taking too long to deliver.

I came from a customer service industry before turning to a photography career.  That's why quality service is such a big thing for me.   I've always believed: If I take excellent care of you my wedding couples and portrait families, you'll in turn, take care of we in the way of referrals and returning to South Street for your photography needs in the future.
