Sometimes it's simply, point the camera and hit the shutter button and hope you get "THE shot".  Literally. 

Spur of the moment images are there for an instant and then gone.  Either you get it or you don't.  There is no sense, to me, in trying to re-pose that instant.  That being said, we need to be ready in an instant.  In some cases it happens so fast, or in a spot you can't get to easily or quickly.

This image happened in a small bed room. There was no chance to get that low to get the shot.  I held the camera down near my feet and hit the shutter button a few times hoping( somewhat expecting) to get a good image.   I love to look, the light, the angle the feel of this image.  A moment I know our couple, especially our bride will love.
