Just got off the phone with a bride whose wedding is around the corner.  She tells me she had a photographer booked that backed out, recently.

First, any photographer that backs out of a booked wedding had better be on a death bed before leaving a couple high and dry.  If I had a problem that wouldn't allow me to photograph a wedding I would cover with a photographer friend that I know and trust.

Second, I'm going to help this couple anyway I can.  I feel as if I should make right what this photographer did to this couple.   I can't give away the date for what they lost financially, however, I will do what I can.  I'll discount my price a bit to soften the blow and give them something that won't cost too much.

Third, I hate, to hear these stories.  Make the entire photography industry look bad.  I mean who has the guts to back out on a wedding.  I feel I have to do what I can to correct these things to the best of my ability, even if it cost me.
