How it was done- Engagement Photo

00930093 Hi,

Our latest how it was done.  This is a photo from a recent engagement session at Monmouth University, near the Library.

What we like about the setting is the "rim" light around our couple.  You can see a light around them especially around their heads.  This gives us some separation from the background.  There is also the framing.  Our couple is set to the lower left of the image.  This is a "rule of thirds" look.  Placing our couple in one of four points of a photo as if it were divided with a "tic-tac-toe" grid.

We then added our flash to add a little bit of light on our couple.  If we didn't add the light they could be in shadows since the light is coming from behind them.
