I follow many of the wedding blogs and read the magazines.   They all take about the current trends in the wedding industry.  Style of dresses, cake designs, accessories, shoes, hair styles, entertainment you name it.  What's in, what's popular.  Even what to look photographically.  What's the current trend in the photography world.  Remember, it's a trend and trends go away.

I think these thing are great if you looking to copy the trends.  For me personally I say, it's your wedding, do what you want, not what the mags and blogs are telling you to do.  The trends are good if you have no idea where or how you want your wedding design to go.  Current trends can give you some good starting points, great ideas to get you started.  Then design to your likings.  This will give you a bit of both, the trendy thing with your twist.

Ultimately it's up to you how your wedding will look and feel.  Couples (brides) ask me all the time "What do your couple usually do?".  My response is, don't worry about that, what do you want?  Your wedding day is about you and the beginning of your new lives together. It's about you and your special day.

So... plan your wedding as you see it, not as someone else sees it.  That's my 2 cents for today.  Until next time.....
