Every now and then I have a conversation with a friend or a wedding couple about the nervousness of my couples on their wedding day.  Being nervous the day of your wedding is completely understandable.  I'm not going to talk about that.  I'm going to talk about my nervousness.  Not that I'm a wreck on your wedding day, quite the opposite.

What I mean is, many photographer tell me they never are nervous on a wedding day.  They've done this so many times, it's routine, nerves don't come into play.  Well, for me, I'm usually very nervous right up to the point I knock on your door.  Once I get into the day.  I'm "on", if you know what I mean.  My skill and knowledge takes over.  My calm settles in and I present that calm.  I've been told many time that my calmness, the day of a wedding, helps everyone stay calm too.  Good, that helps me to keep things moving smoothly, as your day should.

My nervousness before that time, is from me wanting to do the very best job I can for you.  I call it "getting into wedding day mode".  I work myself up the morning of a wedding.  To the point that I'm in my studio hours early, checking everything.  I charge batteries starting the day before.  I check all my cameras and flashes to be sure they're working.  I check everything from A to Z just to be sure nothing can go wrong on your wedding day.  If I never did these things, I'm sure somewhere, someday, something, not so good, will happen.  That's something I don't want.  So, I prepare from head to toe.

My duty to you is to be prepared, completely, for anything that could possibly go wrong.  From back up equipment to ways to protect your dress from the weather (yes we can, It's call a Hooletta).   We carry a wedding day emergency kit full of thing you just may need in a pinch.  Large golf umbrellas and a few other odds and ends that could come in handy.  Hey, you never know.

Anyway, my promise to you is: We will be prepared, the day of your wedding, for nearly any situation and commit to you to do the best possible work, creating your amazing wedding day images.  Nothing less.
