A little story for you:
We were approached by a large financial organization to do some photography work for their employees.
We spoke a number of times regarding their needs. We explained what we could offer and filling their needs in a timely fashion with quality images. We worked out the details and we submitted our quote to do the job.
Unfortunately they decided to go with someone cheaper. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. We gave it a shot.
Several months go by. We get a call from the same company. They are not happy with what they are getting from the photographer they are using. We open up discussions and come to an agreement for us to take over.

What's my point? Cheaper is not always better. Do your research.
Check out the website of the photographers you're interested in. Is there consistency in their work? If not, you should wonder why. Does their work fit you style.
Do they have the experience to capture your day as you see it and the credentials to back that up. Do they understand lighting. Are skys white or blue as they should be.

Does their personality fit with yours. Do you feel you could spend an entire day with them.
These are a few thoughts you should have while researching your photographer. I'm sure you have your own concerns. We can help educate you on what to look for.
