Good morning.
I haven't posted in a while. Been a little busy with the wedding season. I have some time this morning before today's wedding. Figured I'd take a little time and give you an idea on what I do the morning of a wedding to prepare and get into what I call "wedding mode".
Today I happen to be up a bit earlier then I typically am the day of a wedding, which is fine, Gave me the time to write this.
Today being a Sunday, I'll do a family breakfast, French Toast this morning, my daughters favorite breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal to prepare. After breakfast, I'll get myself ready, you don't need know the detail, rest assured I'm an very presentable and ready to photograph today's wedding.
I like to go into the studio an little early. I like to get away from the house hold stuff and start to think about the upcoming wedding. What I expect of the day, how I plan out times, review any photo request, family and bridal party list and such. You could say, wrap my head around the day. I get the cameras ready. Batteries all charged, memory card formatted and in order. Test flash units and cameras. Generally be sure all my gear is ready. You never know, so be prepared, for anything. I'll load everything into the car. Be sure my laptop is set up for backup of my memory cards later in the day and setup our wedding day slideshow. Out onsite printer is loaded and take care of a few other odds and ends.
We love what we do and want today's wedding to be as close to perfect as Lauren and I can possibly make it. Preparing for the day has always been a thing I enjoyed. Getting myself in "wedding mode" is my way of preparing to be the best I can be on your wedding day. One of, if not the biggest day of your lives. I want to live up to, even go above and beyond your expectation.
Well... I hope this gives you a good idea of what I do to be sure you wedding day is perfect and everything you want and expect, hopefully even more.
While were at it, here is a short video about our approach to your wedding:
