Over a year ago we posted a Groupon for a portrait session.  I assume that the post remain on the Groupon site after it's run.  

This morning I received a call regarding the Groupon.  The caller wanted to know what was included.  I explained the Groupon was for a portrait session, the Groupon also included an 8x10.  She asked if that included "soft proofs".  Trying to clarify what she wanted, she explains, she wants a disk.  I explained that South Street is not a "shoot and disk" type photography studio. That to give up a disk without an portrait purchase or print order would not allow me to keep my business alive.   

Please understand, We are wedding and portrait photographers.  We want you to hang you portrait proudly in you home and display your wedding album for all to see.   For us to give you a disk that you may or may not make prints from, defeats the purpose.  If you do get prints made, you'll go to Walmart or Costco or other local printer.  These places will not give you the same quality prints we will.  They will not guarantee your prints, albums or portraits for life as we will.  We stand behind our work and products.   Our work is top notch as are our products.

Assuming you don't get prints made, you probably use you photos for social media.  Instagram, which will not do our work justice, no one will know who you photographers is.   We want your referrals.  When your friends and family see you portraits or albums on display in you home, they will ask, I guarantee that will happen.

In conclusion, as professional photographers we would hope you would want to display your family portrait or wedding album proudly and that a disk of photos is not a interest for you.  In our opinion, we'll take good care of you and you family, deliver a superior image, portrait or album and give you something to be proud to display.
